Hi, I am David Paulius:

David Paulius (he/him) is a computer scientist and roboticist from the twin island federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Notre Dame. His work aims to enable robots to solve complex goal-directed tasks in dynamic human environments by exploiting commonly available yet unstructured world knowledge. This necessitates the integration of task planning, robot learning, and foundation models for long-term autonomy and generalization across robots, task settings, and domains. Before joining Notre Dame, he completed his postdoctoral appointment at Brown University, where he worked jointly with Professors George Konidaris and Stefanie Tellex, and the Technical University of Munich, Germany with Professor Dongheui Lee. David received his PhD in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of South Florida, where he began his journey in robotics and AI under the supervision of Professor Yu Sun. He received his BSc in Computer Science from the University of the Virgin Islands, St. Thomas, USVI. He was recognized as a Robotics: Science and Systems (RSS) Pioneer in 2022.
